Halloween Camembert Mummy Head (Video)

For Halloween I thought I’d wrap the Camembert Cheese with puff pastry strips to create a scary Mummy.

It is only few minutes to make, and you and/or guests for sure will enjoy it. Count with 1 cheese for each person.

When baked, the pastry becomes crispy, perfect for dipping in the melted cheese. And it looks scary! 🙂



  1. Preheat oven to 200 °C  (400 °F)
    On a work surface, unroll puff pastry and cut into strips.
    Wrap strips around camembert like a mummy.

  2. Beat the whole egg and brush over pastry. Transfer camembert to a parchment-lined baking sheet, or baking tin with baking paper.

  3. Bake until camembert is warmed through and is gooey and puff pastry is deeply golden, you will need for this aprox. 20 minutes.

  4. For mummy eyes, place two slice of hot dog, with 2 drops of ketchup.

    Serve with crackers.
