  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add the buttermilk and vegetable oil.
    Mix well.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
    Do not overmix, a few lumps are okay.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cornbread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
