The brownie is a traditional American cake. It is not uncommon to us to borrow recipes from all around the world. Sometimes we occasionally borrow recipes for the holidays also. We made the recipe last year as well, but now that the weekend is knocking at the door and we think it is possible that you want to prepare a dessert, either you have guests or you want to spoil your loved ones. The pumpkin swirl brownie could be a good idea because it is delicious, quick and easy to prepare.
It is ideal to bake it for Halloween, but it can also be the queen of the Thanksgiving table.

Step 1. Make the Pumpkin Puree
Making homemade pumpkin puree for Pumpkin Swirl Brownies
I had baked pumpkin puree prepared and froze in the freezer. If you do not have pre-baked pumpkin, then you will need to start by preparing it.
Cut the pumpkin and remove the seeds and filaments, cut it into slices and bake them until the fork easily enters and exits the flesh of the pumpkin. Let it cool, while preparing the batters for the pumpkin swirl brownies. After they have cool down, make a pure from the pumpkin flesh with a blender.
Step 2. Make the Brownie Batter

To make the pumpkin swirl brownies, I started with preparing the brownie batter.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a steam bath. When they have melted, mix the composition, take it off the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes add the flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt, then add eggs one at a time mixing well after each. Set aside.
Step 3. Make the Pumpkin Batter

To prepare the pumpkin cream, mix the ricotta with the egg, salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, soft butter, sugar and flour in a bowl.
Add the pumpkin puree to the mixture of the cream cheese and mix until the composition is homogenised.
Step 4. Make the Swirls and Bake the Pumpkin Swirl Brownie
Put the brownie batter on top of the cream cheese batter, mix roughly to achieve the swirl effect.
Place in 180°C (356°F) preheated oven for 40 minutes.
Make the toothpick test, and even if a little bit of batter remains on the toothpick, after it cools down it hardens. The texture must be moist.
